Hi, I’m Heather, but some of the best people I know just call me Sunshine (yep—it’s really my middle name, and the idea behind Sunshine Skincare). I’ve been a licensed esthetician since 2010, and I still get excited about helping people care for their skin.

Burke Williams Spa is where I began my journey, selling gift cards just to get my foot in the door while I was working towards getting licensed. Before long, I was training as an esthetician, and eventually became a lead esthetician, educator, and manager. From there, I branched into Nordstrom Beauty, and then eventually became an Educator at the Paul Mitchell School in Pasadena. I’ll admit it, I’m a total skincare nerd. I can talk about skincare ingredients all day, geek out over hair growth cycles, and dive deep into the science of skin. Teaching, learning, and helping people feel good in their skin has always been at the core of what I do.

These days, I’m beyond grateful to be licensed in both California and Tennessee. That means I get the best of both worlds: the sunshine and beaches of Southern California, and the quiet, beautiful countryside just outside of Nashville, Tennessee where my family relocated several years ago. Tennessee has won my heart.

When I’m not waxing or whipping up skin treatments, you can find me lounging with my two cats, laughing with my English-teacher husband, or enjoying an iced coffee with a sister (I have 3!) or a friend. I love animals, wide open blue skies, and anything that makes life light and bright.
